No matter where you are with your business—whether it is growing rapidly, sitting stagnant or just getting started—the New Year is a great time to put new life into your work at home business. The New Year brings a chance to start over, to redo things differently. It also give us a chance to really start fresh. If you are looking to revive your work at home business, follow these tips to start your New Year out with a bang.

Set Goals

Many of you are most likely tired of hearing how you need to set goals for your business. Isn’t wanting to be successful and earning money enough? No it isn’t! If you are serious about your business, you need to get serious about setting goals. In order to achieve a goal you need to actually be working toward it—and you can’t do that by simply thinking about the goal from time to time.

Set weekly, monthly, bi-yearly and yearly goals. Determine exactly what you want to accomplish in the next year and where you want to be at that time. Once you have done this, you will want to determine what weekly and monthly goals you need to set that will get you to your yearly goal. Breaking down your goals sets a clear path to your ultimate destination.

Become Organized

If you aren’t already an organizational freak, become one. Okay, maybe you don’t have to go that far; however, it will help you improve the daily workings of your business to become better organized. Maybe you need to keep better track of your tax paperwork than you did last year. Perhaps you aren’t keeping up with client files. Find the area you are weakest in and work on becoming more organized in that department.

Stop Kidding Yourself Regarding Your Weaknesses

Whether you are working at home or outside of the home, all of us have tasks we have to complete that we don’t like or just aren’t good at. Don’t keep attempting to complete those important tasks—without proper instruction or help. If there is an activity that you need help with consider hiring someone who is competent and skilled in that area. If you can’t afford to hire help at this point in your career, think about taking a class to help improve your abilities in that part of your business. This is a New Year, time to take control of your work at home business.

Find Some “Me” Time

I don’t know how many times this was said to me before it finally sunk in. I was working day and night. I would wake up in the wee hours of the morning, before the children got up, and I would stay up much later than I should have in order to complete work that just couldn’t wait. The truth is that most of the work could have waited, I was just being too fastidious. Don’t forget the YOU in YOUr work at home business. It is important to take some time for yourself. Go out and have lunch with a friend, watch a movie with your family or just sit and read a book. Also, don’t forget to get enough sleep. You are no good to anyone if you aren’t rested and ready to run your work at home business the right way.

You’ve been reading posts, checking out Facebook groups and googling information about MCA. But you still haven’t made the decision to join. Why? If you are anything like I was when I first joined, you are skeptical—and that is a good thing. You never want to jump into a business venture without thoroughly checking it out.

I can tell you that it is one of the best business decisions I have ever made. Deciding to become an MCA associate helped me substantially increase my work from home income and allowed me to earn more in 2012 than I have in any other year.

When I first started looking in to MCA, I thought that it was just a little too good to be true. It seemed like a very interesting concept and everyone seemed to love the program; but, I am not one to jump into anything just because you tell me it is a good idea. I read everything I could get my hands on about the company, I asked questions and I found people who were actually working the business—and I asked more questions.

Before you decide to join MCA, I want you to feel comfortable with the company and with the program. MCA, or Motor Club of America, can help you increase or (in some cases) entirely replace your existing income. The program offers awesome benefits and can provide individuals with a great roadside assistance protection plan. Not only will you be able to market the roadside assistance program, you will also be able to market the associate program which can help others earn an income.

If you are looking for a way to earn more income in the New Year, MCA is the perfect choice. Please send me an email at info@mcaworkfromhome.com or leave your questions in the comments field below. I would love to answer all of your questions and help you decide if MCA is right for you.

Before you leave, take the time to check out this post for September. My August Income with MCA. It outlines my August income with MCA. Then you can decide if you would enjoy adding this type of money to your income streams.

Have a great New Year and God bless!

Need extra Christmas Cash? Let me help!

It is the time of year when everyone scrambles to figure out how to bring in extra money for the upcoming holidays. If you need Christmas cash, you should consider becoming an MCA Associate. Becoming an MCA Associate is a great way to bring in extra cash without having to take a 2nd job outside of the home; it is also a good way to replace a current income, if that is something you are trying to do—but right now we want to talk about bringing in money for the holidays.

I know how hard it can be to earn extra money to buy all of the things you need and want to buy for the holidays. I have five children, so I know how expensive toys and other presents can be—no matter the age of your children. When I joined MCA over a year ago, I had big hopes for this opportunity and it hasn’t let me down. Not only has MCA been a great way to make extra Christmas cash, but it has turned into a full time income for my family.

I did all of the research and asked a million questions before joining MCA, simply because I had been burnt by scams before and didn’t want to go down that road again. I can tell you that MCA is the real deal and it can help you bring in an extra income for your family. On top of the income, you will also receive all of the benefits of the MCA program and all of the additional discounts. Just check out all of the great benefits and discounts provided to MCA members.

If you would like to receive $80 for every member or associate you sign up for the MCA program, and earn some awesome Christmas cash, contact me today at info@MCAworkfromhome.com.

Let the Holiday Season begin!

Not sure MCA can help you earn Christmas Cash? Check out my August 2013 earnings.  And here is a YouTube Video that details what I made in August!

When I began my journey with MCA Motor Club of America, just over 14 months ago, I never dreamed that I would be able to earn almost ten thousand dollars with the company in a year’s time. I knew that the company was legitimate and that it would provide a great way to earn an income, I just didn’t realize how great the program was. I listened to all the top markerters in the program, followed what they were doing and then added some of my own ideas on how to make money with MCA.

MCA Motor Club of America has provided me with a way to earn money while working from home and taking care of my children. I know that a lot of you are looking for a way to earn money from home and trying to find a legitimate way to earn an income—without getting caught up in a scam. I can understand that many of you will believe that it is impossible to make $10,000.00 in just one month with any one program. If I haven’t lived it myself—and someone else was telling me it was possible—I would be skepticable myself. But, I have lived it! During the month of August I was able to pay off a lot of bills and take two mini vacations with my family. MCA Motor Club of America provided me a way to do just that.

I want to be able to show you how you can earn a viable income with MCA Motor Club of America. Below I have posted a youtube video where I show you my back office—proof of what I’ve earned in August with MCA Motor Club of America. Take a look at the video and then leave me a comment or email me at info@MCAworkfromhome.com for more details.

Have a wonderfully blessed day.

ID 10091645 Three Reasons Blogging is Worth the Effort Even if Your Viewer Count is Low

Contuining to Blog when you have a low amount of viewers will eventually pay off! Image courtesy of Stuart Miles / FreeDigitalPhotos.net

Many people are under the assumption that a blog is only worth something if you have a large amount of viewers—I say those people are wrong. Let’s be honest; we would all love to have a million viewers a month who adore our writing and praise us on the Internet. The cold hard fact is that most of us do not have anywhere close to this many viewers. So does this mean that we should just give up blogging and find another way to spend our days? Absolutely not—let me tell you why.

It takes time to build up blog viewers. This “if you build it, they will come” strategy doesn’t always work when you are talking about blogs. It will take time to build up a following and to gain unique views through search engine searches. The main thing is to not give up on your quest. Enjoy blogging and sharing information with the world, and eventually you may just hit those 1 million views. Below are three reasons blogging is worth it even if your viewer count is low.

1. Reaping the benefits of search engines. If you are ever going to gain an abundance of viewers, you need to improve your rank in the search engines. While we want to write our content for our viewers and not for the search engines, we must realize that ranking well will bring us more viewers. Provide relevant, fresh content on your website—keyword optimized, of course—and you will reap the benefits that come from ranking well in search engines—even if it sometimes takes a little while.

2. Stand out from the competition. If you are continually updating your blog with useful information, you will get noticed. Whether you are selling a product, providing a service or simply sharing information, you want to stand out from the hordes of blogs that offer the same thing you do. Continuing to provide your current readers with valuable insights and information will help produce word of mouth advertising, which may come in the form of your readers sharing your blog posts online.

3. Create a never-ending advertisement for your product or service. As long as your blog is up and running—and unless you remove the post—your content speaks as a continuous advertisement for what you are offering the online world. Other forms of advertising eventually end—newspaper ads, TV spots or magazine advertisements. While views of a specific blog post may drop off as you add more content and the blog ages, viewers may end up finding your post in the search engines two years from now. Don’t think of your blog posts as a short term investment. Realize that you may gain viewers months or years down the line simply because they stumble upon a post you wrote ages ago.

If you continue to add quality content to your blog, you viewership will grow. Just remember, even the most popular bloggers had to start somewhere.

ID 100128912 Why I Started the MCA Work at Home Website

My goal is to help people earn a living at home with my MCA work at home blog. Image courtesy of Stuart Miles/ FreeDigitalPhotos.net

A lot of people ask me what I do to advertise my MCA business, and while I do have other advertising outlets, my MCA work at home website is my number one means of advertisement. I started my blog because I wanted to get the word out about my business and how it could help people make an income while at home. Along the way, I decided that I would share other types of information with those looking to earn an at home income. Information such as Why You Aren’t Making Money Online and Tips for the Work at Home Mom or Dad.

While I started the MCA Work at Home blog with the initial thought of increasing my MCA income, I quickly saw the potential to help other people. When I began working at home, years ago, I knew nothing about how to make money online or how to sift through the many opportunities on the Internet. I had to learn. I read all that I could, I made friends with individuals who were trying to make money online as well and I tried lots of different business formats. It took time to find things that really worked—but I have.

I hope that all of you, my viewers, find my MCA work at home blog useful—not only for MCA, but also with all of your work at home challenges. I hope to bring you more useful information in the future—information that will help you learn how to better run your work at home business and maybe even help you find other ways of earning money online—like my MCA work at home website has done for me.

Aug 212013

Many individuals who set out to start making money online are able to succeed; a fraction of those individuals succeed in a huge way—earning a substantial income. There are other individuals, however, who attempt an online career only to fail. These are the individuals I want to talk about—and talk to—in this blog post.

This post is going to get a little real. If you aren’t making money online and you fall under any of the five topics I am going to discuss, you have to step up and realize that you are setting yourself up for failure. Every online entrepreneur or online business owner makes mistakes. What is important is that we realize those mistakes and learn to move past those mistakes and earn an online income.

Take a look at the three reasons you aren’t making money online I have listed below, and ask yourself “Am I guilty of this?”.

  1. You’ve quit before you’ve gotten started. If you have told yourself that you are going to make money instantly with your new online business, you are kidding yourself. Making money online is harder than earning money at a normal job—especially if you are marketing a product or relying on website traffic. When you start your online career, you need to expect that you are going to have a waiting period—a waiting period where you will have to work hard in order to see some success. You will have to jump a few hurdles in your online business and that will take time. Don’t quit after two weeks thinking you should have instantly built an income.

  2. You assumed making money online would be easy. Get that thought out of your head right now because making money online is not easy. Now there are a few exceptions to the rule; people who have rolled out a new idea that instantly blew up the market. Unfortunately, the odds are that person won’t be you. Don’t worry, it wasn’t me either. I have, however, learned how to earn a good income online—but I had to work to make it happen. Working online is harder than holding an outside job because in many aspects—especially if you are going to have to work your way up to sales.

  3. You didn’t plan ahead. There is a lot I could say about this topic. First off, if you are quitting a job to start your online adventure ( a job that offers you a weekly paycheck ) you need to plan ahead before you quit. You are going to have to have money to live on while you are building your online income—and you may not want to dip into your savings if you have any. Don’t just quit and think you will make money right away (see topic 2 again), know how much money you need to get by and don’t quit until you can financially afford it.

You will also need to have an online business plan. Know exactly what you are going to do to make money and have at least two backups, just in case the first one doesn’t pan out. I believe in multiple streams of income. I don’t just make money with MCA, although it is my main breadwinner at this point. I earn income with a few other things—so if my MCA income isn’t huge one week, I still made some money from my other ventures. Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket! Plan everything out. Research all of the different online money making activities you want to participate in—before you begin your online money making journey.

Aug 202013

Last week we talked about finding your niche and to go about choosing a niche that you can effectively write about week after week. Today, I want to talk about how to find the perfect audience for that niche. Finding the right audience is extremely important if you are to have any success with your blog—no mater the function of your blog or website.

Finding your niche audience means finding people who are interested in your service, product or information. Think about it this way; if you are selling skateboards, your target audience will not be females between the age of 60 and 80 who like to knit. Likewise, if you are offering information on homeschooling, your target audience will not be men between the age of 18 and 30 who enjoy paintball. Before you can have a successful blog, you have know exactly who your blog is being written for and where to find those individuals.

When attempting to identify your target audience, ask yourself these questions:

  1. Who is looking for the product, service or infomation you provide? Who would benefit most from what you ahve to offer.

  2. How is your product, service or information different than the other similar items on the market? What is the benefit to those looking for these items?

  3. What is the common element between the individuals who will want what I have to offer?

While there are other questions that will help you further determine your target audience, these questions help you sort through some of the obvious issues. Knowing who your niche audience is helps you to provide them a quality product or service and also helps you to develop blog posts that they will find interesting and helpful.

ID 100109829 Work At Home Tips – Finding Your Niche

Want to start a blog? You will need to find your Niche!

I have had a lot of people ask me about making money online, so I have decided to do a series on work at home tips. While I frequently tell you about my MCA business, I also want to help you make money in other ways. MCA is an awesome business, but it isn’t for everyone. Some people enjoy affiliate marketing, reviewing products or simply blogging for money. In this first blog post, I want to talk about blogging and finding your blogging niche.

If you have considered starting a blog, but weren’t sure what to blog about, this post is for you. The first thing you need to do when starting a blog is to figure out what niche you fall into. So, let’s get started!

What Exactly is A Niche?

A niche is the term used to describe what your blog is going to talk about. What will the main topic of the blog be—for many people, this can be hard to figure out. While I share the wonders of MCA with all of you, my main niche is “work from home”. I chose this niche not only to advertise my MCA business but to help people who want to start a work from home career, but don’t know how. The niche you choose will depend on what you want to share with the world. The type of business you are running—if you are running a business. And, the things you are passionate about.

Niche Examples

  • Entertainment
  • Crafts
  • Books
  • Weight Loss
  • Work at Home Ideas

The possibilities are truly endless; however, your niche needs to relate to something that you are truly interested in or you will become bored with blogging.

Before you choose your niche, think about what is important to you. Do you home school your children? Are you an avid crafter? Do you love Hollywood Gossip? Any of these topics would make a great niche blog.

I would suggest that you make a list of all of the things you enjoy or have an interest in—begin with the most important and work your way down. Think about each of these topics and ask yourself if you are going to be comfortable with writing about this topic on a weekly basis. If you aren’t, move on to another topic.

Once you have chosen your niche, it is time to research. Which we will talk about next time.

Question to all of my blogging friends. What niche do you write about?

Frustrated Tips for the Work at Home Mom or Dad

Tips for the busy work at home mom or dad! “Image courtesy of Michal Marcol / FreeDigitalPhotos.net”

Disclaimer: I know I previously used this picture in another post, but it just seems to fit with this one as well!

If you are thinking about becoming a work at home mom or dad, you probably already know that the decision you are making is a huge one. Working at home takes a lot of time, effort and patience. You can’t expect your home business or home job to begin thriving overnight. However, if you work hard and steadily grow your business, you can expect a good return for your effort. If you have decided to work at home to take care of your children, an aging relative or simply to help more around the house, you are going to want to develop a plan from the beginning.

Working at home can be time consuming and difficult and you most likely won’t be able to accomplish everything you want to do—unless you are Supermom or Bree Van de Kamp from Desperate Housewives (which I think might have been the same person).

Below I have listed 5 tips to help you build a thriving work from home career from the beginning, while not losing your mind. Keep in mind that these tips are a mixture of things that will help you with your home life and your work at home life—which really needs to balance out in order for your business to grow and your sanity to stay intact.

Maintain a Schedule. I know that you have heard me talk about scheduling before and you may even be getting tired of all this schedule talk; however, I can not stress schedules enough. Your schedule does not have to list hour upon hour activities, but it should be an outline to help you stay on track with all that you have to do. If you are trying to build a contact list or market a product, you need to set so many hours a day so that you put in a consistent effort. Inconsistency will only cause you to have to try to catch up in order to build the contacts or product interest you need. You should also add in the activities you need to complete with your children. Kids, even little ones, can keep you busy. Scheduling all of their activities will help you to see what time you have left in your day and allow you to add in some extra work time.

Don’t attempt to be perfect. I’m throwing this one in here because I have met a lot of work at home individuals who think that they need to be Super Work at Home Mom or Dad and then stress out or even quit when they can’t live up to that title. Life is stressful. Things happen that we can’t control. You need to understand that you don’t have to be perfect at your work from home career and that you can settle for being good. Work hard at your business or job, but not so hard that you end up dragging yourself down in the process.

Start networking. When you begin working from home, whether you are running a business or working an at home job, you need to network. Networking with like minded people—preferably specific to your industry—can help you learn a lot about the work at home world and can even help your business to grow. There are a lot of groups online where WAHMs share business and home advice and swap work at home war stories. Finding one of these groups or simply talking to work at home individuals in your area can go a long way in helping you succeed.

Realize you may not be able to do it all alone. Smart people realize when they need to delegate certain activities to others, while stubborn people want to prove they can do it all. If you have a lot of work on your plate, or the kids have a lot of activities on a particular day, you may need a little help getting everything done. Example: You need to send out emails to potential customers and may even have to call a few to answer questions. However, little Susie-Q has to be at her dance practice at 4. What do you do? If the work cannot be put off, you may need to call in a family member to take Susie-Q to practice. You might even want to consider asking for help with all of your emails. Whichever works for you, simply do it. Stressing out over the amount of work you have to do, or the amount of time you spend running kids here and there, isn’t good for you or your family. As your business grows, you may even want to consider hiring someone to help with your work at home business for a couple hours a week.

Keep set work hours. Even if they have a schedule, many people end up working until the early hours of the morning just to complete tasks on time. I’m not saying that you may not have to do this every now and then, but please don’t make a habit of it. Write up a work schedule (don’t forget to add in the children’s activities we talked about in tip 1) and stick to it as best as you can. If you want to begin work 2 hours before the kids wake up, take a 4 hour break to spend part of the day with them and then start working again after dinner—write your schedule that way. Many of us work “overtime hours” at times, but if you attempt to do it every day—you will quickly burn out.

I hope that you have found these tips helpful. Work at home moms and dads need to ensure that they keep their sanity for the sake of their businesses and their kids.

Do you have any work at home tips you would like to share?
